Now, I am not going to tell this story in the way that you would think. Instead, I will be telling it in the form of journal, logs, and personal feelings of the character who is telling you the story with information about the world and story filled within. I am hoping that you will be able to piece it together for yourselves and come up with your own vision of the world and the events. Again, this is just for fun, so enjoy!

Project: GoD is the first successful attempt at creating the first genetic and synthetic super soldiers. Through advance medical research, we were able to discover how to isolate and replicate the desired and preferred genes of DNA that would allow us the results in stronger, more superior soldiers. Though, we could not use this DNA to clone these soldiers, we have also made a break through in synthetic material which allows us to create an organic compound we can use to create our human bodies. By binding the synthetic organs and skin with the DNA, we are able to manufacture our own super soldiers. Using the classified projects in the science department, we were able to use highly durable and flexible metals to create the skeletal structure, nano machines within the blood stream, and the synthetics to create a stronger and more powerful body than even the most athletic and physically built human body on our planet.
Through this process, we can have a synthetic super soldier created within months, using the nano machines to implement memories, training, and all the needs we have for the perfect soldier. We have only just begun in our project, but we have had profound results with our early experiments with the procedures. Soon, we will be taking DNA blood samples from 30 top military personnel who have the highest performances of physical and mental capabilities. This will be our pool of resources that will truly allow us to delve into this project and with high hopes succeed in our endeavors.

It has been several months since I have done my first log of Project: GoD, but it took longer than anticipated to finally narrow down our volunteers for the DNA needed to continue our research. Though, I may not disclose the names of the American soldiers who provided the blood samples, I do note that I am extremely pleased with the results. I believe the over due wait was to our advantage. We begin tomorrow with the manufacturing of the synthetic bodies. Binding the replicated DNA, we will see what structures the bodies will be designed to fit the DNA model. Then, we wait as our machines generate our synthetic super soldiers bodies.

Finally! The last of our synthetic soldiers have been complete. With fully constructed bodies and all nervous systems connected between the skeletal structure and muscle fibers, we may finally commence into providing blood to be pumped into their system and place the nano machines within their systems. It is these machines that will implement the knowledge and information we will be able to use to control these soldiers. Its all very exciting. The procedure is set at 10:00 A.M. On June 27, 2010.
On another note, my colleague Dr. Jonathon Martin Ericson has placed a rather bizarre request of using 3 of the test subjects to attempt a secondary procedure. He wishes to implant them with memories, personality, and a sense of self-awareness. Though, I have objected to this, General Gerald Rockford has agreed to the request. I have been given the authorization to present Dr. Ericson with the soldiers of my choice and may oversee the secondary procedure. As such, I have selected subjects 14, 17, and 24. Though, each of the subjects have the highest degrees of performance and perfections, these 3 subjects have shown the least amount of integrity I seek. Though, I may disagree, I do look forward to these experiments.

Well, we have finally faced some disappointment with our synthetics. Though, the bonding was a success, the implantation of the nano machines were not as agreeable. Subjects 2,6,9,13, and 28 have shown signs of not integrating the nano machines and are not functional. We are uncertain if it was the machines or a factor missed within the DNA. Our team is looking into it. But still, some failures were expected. 25 out of 30 is nothing short of a miracle. It has been a week since our other subjects have become functional and we have been working with them to insure motor skills and their brains are at complete capacity. With exceptional luck, we have found no flaws or discrepancies. We go into field testing within the week.
As for Dr. Ericson's subjects, I admit I find them impossibly remarkable. Not only were they at full capacity, they were inquisitive and insightful. Prone to ask questions and give information on the dot, they were also as obedient as my own subjects. Given time to themselves, they found ways to challenge each other and showed signs of true human life. Not to say that I have changed my mind on my disagreement, it is pleasant to be surprised by these events. But we shall see how this goes into field testing.

It has been 6 months since we began field testing. Again, we find disappointment. In the first 2 months, we used simple exercises. All subjects passed. But as they became more complicated, we have discovered that some of the subjects coding with the nano machines interfered with their ability to deductive reasoning and problem solving, following orders of obedience to an obsessive degree. This has resulted in splitting the subjects into cells, picking from the extremely small handful of subject to lead each cell. Those who excelled at the test were subjects 1,7,11,23, and 27. Though, of these 5 was a success, the rest were failures. We need obedient and quick witted synthetics.
On another note, I have found myself yet again surprised by Dr. Ericson's subjects. As both a team and as individuals, they have excelled in every area that many of my subjects have not. Not only that, they have each picked up their own individual perks and personalities. In particular, Subject 17 has shown the greatest quality. But, I have found something odd within his personality traits. Unlike the other two, he has lost the nature of charm he had within the first week. When in the field or back in his quarters, he prefers loneliness and quiet. He always seems more comfortable when he works alone, though he shows strong leadership qualities as a team. What is more odd is that you can never tell what he is thinking and improvises with extreme talent, even unorthodox in method that should not be in his coding. I am not sure what to think of this now. Though, it was not originally in our plan, I believe I may bring a mental psychiatrist to test their mental states. I will need to talk to General Rockford for his approval.

Its been one year since our field testing ended with the first batch of synthetic super soldiers. In 3 months, we will have new blood samples and may go into our second test. Out of all our subjects, we have had to decommission most of them. All that is left is Subjects 1, 11, 14, 17, 23, 24, and 27. 7 was terminated because of a malfunction within his program caused him to go into a psychotic state. 4 personnel were injured. No fatalities. 30 new blood samples will be taken along with testing of subjects stated above. Our research team was inconclusive of why the non-functional synthetics of the first subjects, but if we have the same issues, they believe they will be able to narrow it down so we may not have a repeat of two years prior.
As for the remaining subjects, all of them have shown increasing potential and growth. As such, General Rockford has requested that some of the subjects be released into his custody. He wishes to do studies of the synthetics with human interaction of non-synthetic soldiers and testing them in real battle situations. Dr. Ericson has agreed to release 14 and 24 but has refused to allow 17 to leave the facility. Though, 17 has proven to be our greatest asset, I have to agree. Along with 11, 23, and 27 from my subjects, that leaves only 1 and 17 for the facility.
As stated in my previous log, I was granted Dr. Arthur Carlton, a Harvard graduate of Psychiatry and a field operative during the Iraqi war who assisted marines to help them cope with the tragedies of war. He overlooked and evaluated subjects 14, 17, and 24 for the past year under my supervision. 14 and 24 have healthy mental capabilities and a strong drive for knowledge and talent with strong ties of companionship and camaraderie. I am not surprised by this and relieved. I have high hopes for them as Dr. Ericson's experiment has been a huge success. As for Subject 17, Dr. Carlton has given him a clean bill of mental health, he has also described that the subject is unreadable by body language. He is unsure of why his need for loneliness and working alone in the field. He believes that Subject 17 may be a perfectionist and may not feel challenged enough with a team, trying to prove himself or challenge himself by working alone. This has raised many questions as to the true extent of Subject 17's skills and potential. As such, Dr. Ericson has refused to continue his testing with personality traits and memories, passing his project to Dr. Conrad Douglas, his assistant within the studies. Dr. Ericson is going to continue to study Subject 17 in further and more excessive exercises.

I have just heard from General Rockford. It seems that the integration of my synthetic subjects with human subjects have failed. Most were not able to create camaraderie with the other soldiers and were often found disturbing by the other soldiers. Though, they completed their missions, many casualties resulted in their inability to work with human soldiers. As for subjects 14 and 24, they had opposite effects and were able to integrate accordingly. Worked well as a team with the men and women of our military, casualties were still minimal compared to what may have happened without their talents and skills. Sadly, 24 was killed in action during their last mission which caused 14 to go into depression. Three days after his death, 14 committed suicide in her bunk with her side arm. Both bodies have been returned to the lab along with the other 3 subjects.
It has been set clear we must do more work into coding to allow better human interaction along with the talent and skill to go along with it. I have also been informed that subjects 14 and 24 have been unofficially presented the congressional medal of honors based on their achievements. I am not sure how I feel about that, but it seems a big step looking into the notes of Dr. Ericson and continue research into his methods. My only worry is how Subject 17 will take this news. I fear this may cause reprehensible damage to his psyche. I will need both Dr. Ericson, Dr. Carlton, and I to keep a closer watch on him. If what the results from his new exercises and the evaluations from Dr. Carlton are correct, he may be a very dangerous individual and if circumstances present themselves, could lead to his termination. As of now, I am contacting Dr. Ericson and Dr. Carlton for damage control.

Its been one month since I have received the news of the failure of my synthetic subjects. Along with Dr. Douglas, we have started to dig into Dr. Ericson's research and will attempt a much larger scale of the test he did with Subjects 14,17, and 24. But, along with the personality traits, we hope to install features that will allow them to cope with death and tragedy as subject 14 was not able to handle. We hope to make them much more progressive in both their integration within normal human interaction with our soldiers and their ability to move beyond death of their comrades.
As for Subject 17, he took the news surprisingly well on the outside. He has shown no signs of hostility, anger, or depression. But, within his service record of exercises, he has shown a higher level of both commitment and dedication than we have ever seen. We do not believe that we will be able to test him like this much longer. Dr. Ericson has already passed a request to General Rockford for access to the weapons and armor R&D department for specialized gear suited for our Subject. He believes and intends to put him on the field. Human integration he believes will be near impossible by his personality, but wishes to see his performance as a specialized operative. This push also had the request he be put in all special ops units for training, including black ops. He wants to see how far Subject 17 can go and record the data. I have by now given up trying to dispute this and am also eager to know the results.

Well, after four long years, I believe we have done it. Perfect integration synthetic super soldiers. Field, operations, and evaluation test have all confirmed. They are perfected. We have had a number of unforeseen problems, but we have finally completed our work. Now all we wait for is our project to finally pass through congress and our president. I truly believe Project GoD will save soldiers and help us reestablish our military dominance. We again will become the most feared government in the world. This is such an amazing accomplishment.
But, our real and most brilliant accomplishment is subject 17. Though, Ericson did not believe integration was possible, he did it flawlessly, trained with the greatest members of our military both known and unknown. To this date, has completed over 256 different missions without question. He is the perfect soldier in my belief. A perfection sculpted by me and given life by Dr. Ericson. It is our greatest achievement. I cannot wait to celebrate our luck. Tonight, I think I will hold a party for all the workers to toast our rise to one of the greatest minds of our century.

I just received the worst news I could possibly hear. After several months in debate, congress has decided not to pass our project for undisclosed reasons. Not only that, General Rockford has ordered a termination of the projects, including dismantling and destroying all synthetic life forms created by the lab. This is to be immediate.
Subject 17 has also gone MIA since his last mission. We are not sure what happened, but we have lost all contact with him and his tracking devices have all been shut off. We have no way of finding him. I am not sure if I am distraught or relieved. This great achievement has now become my greatest failure. I will contact Dr. Ericson and have him begin preparations for shutting down the facility. This is my last log of these events as I will now turn them over to Dr. Douglas to remove the synthetics. I could never destroy what I have created....
<Log Entry: End>
On August 28, 2017, all synthetics had been destroyed and removed. The facility was cleaned dry and all other information on the project was removed by authorization of General Gerald Rockford. This is the only surviving information on the project. Subject 17 Codename: Malcom was never recovered. He is believed dead. The rest is inconclusive.
On December 19, 2017, Dr. Richard Martello Age: 61 was found dead within his home. Two gunshot wounds to the chest. Pronounced homicide, it is still an ongoing investigation within Military Jurisdiction.
